Program Overview

Through partnership with the Children’s Dyslexia Center, Shippensburg University’s Office of Workforce Development offers READ 593 for the 2026–2027 academic year.

This comprehensive Multisensory Structured Language Education program is based on the Orton-Gillingham approach and is designed to equip educators with evidence-based tools to support students with literacy challenges and related learning differences.

60 hours of instruction and discussion (held at the CASD Administration Building)

100-lesson practicum with real students in your school

Support and guidance from experienced professionals

180 Act 48 hours

6 Graduate Credits at Shippensburg University
(Credits can be applied to the MEd in Curriculum & Instruction)
